The Thing about White Pants

Hello all. So I've been seeing this trend crop up a lot on social media. Le White Pants. I approve of this trend 100%. Honestly I actually don't see it as a trend more of a staple really. White pants are spring/summer versions of the Leather pants. It's by far one of the easiest things to style and they make almost any outfit look refreshing. I took the liberty of course to give you guys a visual rendering of what I mean using Polyvore.

In Basics I trust: Part Deux

Hey guys! It's hump day so congrats for us who made it through. Not only is it hump day but were getting some touches of spring here in NYC. Not too much though. It's like Spring and NYC just went on an amazing first date and Spring doesn't want to seem too eager so it's about to implement the "2-day No call" Rule.

I took complete advantage of this weather these last 2 days. I mean I woke up earlier then I usually do ,tried a new coffee place, listened to different music on my way to the train. (Sidenote: During the many Snowmageddon days we were experiencing I was listening to a lot of hard stuff like Yeezus, Rick Ross, Linkin Park) But now it's definitely changed to a lot of lighter, sunny music.

My Wednesday's I'm usually basically outside until the end of the day. So I wanted to go easy on my outfit and I thought it's only (by only I mean always) right to break out the basics.

Weekend Uniform: In Crew necks I trust

For these last couple of weeks I've been living for the weekends. Well more specifically for me Friday's after 7pm. It's the only time I can handle everything I need to do, go out, dress the way I want to, etc.

That being said this weekend was no different. Remember that Peter Pilotto crew neck that I mentioned in my Winter Blues post. I broke it out and it was everything I needed it to be and more. The reason why I truly love crew necks in particular printed crew necks is because there so easy to style. They require minimal effort, which you can tell from the name of the blog is what I'm basically all about. They literally do all the work for you.

For example I had a busy day on Saturday that included a lot of running around accomplishing things that I don't usually have time for during the week. So I needed an outfit that was easy but still me. I paired my crew neck with my black waxed pant with zipper detail from H&M and my trusty Air Jordan Retro Bred XI's.

Tip: If you want to save time getting dressed in the morning but still want to give off that, "I took time on this look"... look. Trust me a printed a crew neck is for you.

Other Options (Here, and Here,

Pants: Waxed Trousers from H&M

Sneakers: Air Jordan Retro Bred XI's (Gifted)
(But if your super lucky you can still find a couple of pairs at FlightClub)

Winter Blues

Hello all! I've realized that I am not meant for long winters at all I'm suffering from the Winter Blues. (Sigh) After that amazing warm weekend, (It's slightly depressing that I'm calling anything over 40 degrees warm.) the temperature plummeted right back down.

Even things like going out and (gasp) even shopping is barely worthwhile. So I've been basically doing a lot of online shopping, cooking, checking out some DIY's from one of my favorite bloggers, Jenni from ispydiy.com, and anticipating some DIY projects.

This is basically like my version of hibernating and staving off the winter blues.  Do you guys have any tips or any methods for beating the winter blues? Please do tell.

A couple of things that I purchased and DIY projects that I'm looking forward to:
